The book covers 14 chapters altogether. The key concept of AI such as intelligent search, propositional and predicate logic, logic programming, knowledge representation schemes, probabilistic reasoning, planning, machine learning, genetic algorithms, fuzzy systems, natural language processing and knowledge acquisition issues are discussed. This book is unique for its simplicity, clarity of presentation, completeness of questions–solution sets and low volume. Appropriate examples with clear line diagrams is another key feature of this book.
History and applications of AI are well described in the book. Blind search, heuristic search techniques, MINIMAX algorithm, logic of proposition and predicate, Logic programming are analysed in a simple manner. Semantic net, frame and script are described with suitable examples.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Subhasree Bhattacharjee is an Assistant professor in the Department of Computer Application in Narula Institute of Technology, Agarpara, Kolkata. She has completed M.E (IT). from West Bengal University of Technology in the year 2007 and is working in the college from the same year. Her research interest lies in the field of cognitive radio and soft computing techniques to solve different optimization problems. Other than national journal publications, she has published four international journals and fifteen international conference papers. She has worked in different comparative analysis on genetic algorithm, differential evolution algorithm and non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm. Currently her research lies in finding the channel access delay in a distributed cognitive radio network using CSMA/CA and its variants.
