About the Authors

Maheshwari Prasad Verma is an academician with degree in M. Phil (Business Management), Masters in Tourism Management and a Hotel Management graduate. At present he is the Dean and Professor at the prestigious, K R Mangalam University, Gurugram and is heading the School of Hotel Management and Catering Technology department. He has more than 26 years of rich experience in industry and academia.

He has worked nationally and internationally. He has been associated with organisation like Holiday Inn. Johannesburg (South Africa) as an executive chef, Oberoi group of hotels, Fariyas group of hotels, Clarksgroup of hotels and in academics he had been associated with R M Institute of International Hotel Management in partnership with Thames Valley University London, Amity University Noida and Kolkata, Lovely Professional University and CT University Ludhiana.He had authored several books on the trade and been associated with training and consultancy. Recently he had been conferred upon best Professor award in field of Hospitality Management at Hyderabad.

Mamta Bhatnagar is an accomplished tourism academician with comprehensive blend of hands-on

professional and academic experience. As an Innovative teacher she is devoted to education and learning and is a Published author, career-development mentor and research guide. She did her MBA, MTTM and PhD in the field of hospitality and tourism and has worked as Dean and Director with reputed universities in different parts of the country. She was formerly associated with Dev Sanskriti University, Haridwar as Head of the Department – Indian Culture and Tourism studies and Director – Centre for Distance Education. She has been involved in teaching and research assignments for the last 25 years with various reputed national institutions like All India Management Association.

She has contributed as a course writer for number of self-instructional units in the Tourism management program of IGNOU and has number of publications to her credit as a certified trainer from India Society for Training and Development She has been associated with corporate training programs. She has been an examiner for the PhD for various universities and has been guiding scholars in tourism and hospitality discipline. Presently she is associated with affiliated institutions of NCHMCT and IGNOU as a Management Consultant.
