This book is mainly written for those readers who are new comers in the field of Computer Science. Computer Science has become a common subject in Engineering and Technological streams now a day. More and more people are taking computer science as their career subject. But the irony is that 10-20% students have very basic idea of this subject. The reason behind this is this subject is one of the recent subjects added to the curriculum. Secondly, the number of academicians in this field are very few as compared to other subjects.

The majority of the audiences lack basic idea of some of the major subjects of computer science. One of the subjects is Computer Networking. This book targets the grass root level audience who are either totally new to the subject or have already studied the subject but failed to grab the clear idea of the subject.

Some of the strengths of the book are given below:

  • Simple language which is readable and understandable for those students weak in English.
  • Based on OSI reference model of the Computer Network.
  • Chapters are formed on the basis of different layers of OSI reference model of the layer which is the conceptual backbone of Computer Network.
  • The book covers vast things in very concise way and covers the syllabus of many institutions.
  • The book is written after studying several books, therefore the author tried to overcome the drawbacks found in different books here.
