About the Author Dr. Rajiv Aserkar is Professor at SP Jain Center of Management Dubai, Singapore, where he is in charge of Operations Management specialization courses for Executive MBA program. In addition he teaches courses in Logistics, Transportation Management and Supply Chain Management in their Global MBA program.
Prior to this, Dr. Aserkar has also worked with Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) at their Dubai Campus and with International Institute of Foreign Trade and Research at Indore. Pune as senior executive responsible for export development and logistics. Dr. Aserkar has traveled extensively to Europe, Middle East, South East Asia and SAARC countries for export promotion and for participating in international trade fairs and conferences.
He has been a Shipping Management Consultant for more than three decades.
He worked in a shipping agency for a few years and over 23 years in Scindia Steam Navigation Co. Ltd holding important positions and retired in 1988.
He has been visiting faculty to leading maritime training Institutes.
